Why Our Pub is Great

You don’t forget a name like the Shiny Sheff! Our pub is named after the Royal Navy ship, HMS Sheffield, nicknamed the ‘Shiny Sheff’ because lots of stainless steel was used on her fixtures and fittings. But it’s not just the name that makes us a memorable pub. If you like your local to have a fab beer garden, a children’s play area, loads of social events, a great drinks selection, and generous portions of good honest pub grub, you’ve struck gold. We’ve got the lot, and that special warm and welcoming atmosphere you only get down a local pub with friendly staff who love a chat and really know their stuff.

Can’t resist a bargain? We put on as many special offers, meal deals and drinks promotions as we possibly can, every week, all year round. Because you should be able to pop into the pub for a few drinks and some food anytime, not just once a week or on a special occasion. The food menu has everything from super massive burgers, steaks and grills to curries, pub classics, bar snacks and light bites. And we do a super Sunday roast.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised by our range of cask ales, craft beers and everyday beers. And our wine selection will keep wine drinkers of all tastes happy. Fizz is always available, and we do great deals on cocktail pitchers and party drinks. Delicious soft drinks too.
